Dr. Ke'ale Louie

Dr. Louie grew up in Southern California and received his Bachelor of Science in Aquatic and Fishery Sciences from the University of Washington. Passionate about oral health and helping others as a dentist, he also became interested in basic biomedical research through laboratory experiences in Seattle and with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Southeastern Alaska. This curiosity led him to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry where he received both a Doctor of Dental Surgery and a Doctor of Philosophy in Oral Health Sciences. His Ph.D. research in craniofacial biology resulted in national awards and peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Louie understands the impact of a smile and places utmost value on patient comfort at all steps along their dental journey. This means treating everyone with genuine warmth and compassion as he would his ‘ohana, or family, while tailoring care to meet your specific oral health needs. As a lifelong learner, Dr. Louie firmly believes in the importance of prevention and education and incorporates both with everyone he treats.

In his free time, Dr. Louie maintains an outdoors and active lifestyle which includes biking and hiking to new fishing spots. He remains current on many dental, biology, and fisheries research topics and loves learning about cutting-edge discoveries.
